I decided once she'd created it that I should use it as a place to explain the process of using the wiki, in case people got lost at any point, and to post the wiki's posting schedule.

Instructions to log in:

From any of the pages, you can click on a link in the upper righthand corner of the page that reads "Log in." Once at this new page, you will be prompted to either log in (on the left side of the screen) or create a PBwiki identity (on the right). If you'd like to, you may create an identity, but it's not necessary.

All you need to do to log in is to type in the first box (labeled Wiki Key/Password) the password that I gave you in class for this wiki (if you've forgotten what it is, ask me in class). Then in the boxes below, enter your name and your email address. Then click on the box marked "log in" and you're done.

Instructions to edit:

Once you're logged in, use the sidebar (it's one of the tabs in the box on the right side of the page) to find the link to the page you want to edit. Click on that link and it will take you directly to that particular page. you will not ever need to create a new page; I will always start a new page for each topic. all you have to do is edit the content.

Once you're on the correct page, click the second box on the top left marked "Edit Page." Then you can go in and, just like you would edit a word document, add or delete anything you wish. Try not to change too much of the content of other people's entries; only add supplemental information to highlight an area we discussed that you felt needed more detail. Remember that you are graded on your general participation as well as your initial entries, so editing other people's content is a vital part of this process.

When you're finished making corrections or additions to an existing entry, or creating your own entry, click on Save at the bottom lefthand side of the screen, and you're done! It's just that easy!
